I,

agree to become a Platinum member of Texas Tactical Training Group.  I agree to all terms and conditions of club membership including but not limited to this membership agreement of Texas Tactical and Texas Tactical Waiver.  I understand that a violation of these agreements may be cause for removal from Texas Tactical and could result in criminal charges.

By signing this agreement, I agree to:

  •  The terms of membership including having my credit card charged $30 monthly on the 1st of each month for member dues.
  • Obey any order given by a Texas Tactical Range Safety Officer.
  • Hold harmless Texas Tactical and it’s representatives for any injury or death with the understanding that range staff is not always available during the week.
  • Supply my own food, hydration and medical needs when using the range.
  • Only allow guests to join me at 1 guest per member and only when using a guest pass.  I take responsibility for any guest I bring.
  • Never “horseplay” or conduct myself in an unsafe manner.
  • Utilize a 3rd party mediator for any disputes between myself and Texas Tactical and it’s members.
  • Forfeit my access to the reservation system if I “no-show” for 3 or more reservations.
  • Surrender my shooting lane if a member with a “reservation” is present.
  • Display my ID in the designated area anytime I am on the range.
  • Follow all posted rules at all times.

I realize that Texas Tactical may run a background check on me at any time for any reason and that my membership could be revoked pending the results.

Range Operation

THIS RANGE OPERATES ON A CEASE FIRE SCHEDULE. THE ENTIRE RANGE FOLLOWS THE SAME SCHEDULE. EVERY 20 MINUTES STARTING AT THE TOP OF THE HOUR WE HAVE A MANDATORY 5 MINUTE CEASE FIRE. THE CEASE FIRES TAKE PLACE FROM :0-:05, AND :20-25, AND :40-45. THAT IS EVERY 20 MINUTES STARTING AT THE TOP OF THE HOUR. 3 TIMES PER HOUR EVERYONE STOPS SHOOTING FOR 5 FULL MINUTES. YOU GET 5 MINUTES BREAK, 15 TO SHOOT, 5 TO BREAK, 15 TO SHOOT, OVER AND OVER ALL DAY. THE 5 MINUTE CEASE FIRE IS EVERYONE’S TIME TO GO DOWN RANGE SAFELY AND SET UP, OBSERVE, OR PULL THEIR TARGETS. THIS IS HOW THE ENTIRE RANGE WORKS AND IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS SYSTEM. AT THE CEASE FIRE TIME ALL SHOOTERS ON A RANGE MUST STOP AND VERIFY THAT ALL SHOOTING HAS STOPPED PRIOR TO GOING DOWN RANGE. THE LINE OF FIRE SHOULD BE AGREED UPON BY ALL SHOOTERS. MEMBERS HAVE ACCESS TO 3 RANGES AND MAY MOVE TO ANOTHER RANGE IF THE LINE OF FIRE IS NOT WHERE THEY WANT TO SHOOT. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR GUNS FOR THE ENTIRE 5 MINUTES.

MAKE SURE THAT EVERYONE WITH YOU AND EVERYONE AROUND YOU KNOWS WHEN THERE IS A CEASE FIRE TAKING PLACE. IT IS YOUR SAFETY ON THE LINE.

JUST BECAUSE THE CEASE FIRE STARTS DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY MEAN ITS SAFE TOWALK DOWN RANGE.  SOME PEOPLE MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THE TIME AND MAY NOT STOP PROMPTLY.  YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL EVERYONE ON YOUR RANGE STOPS SHOOTING AND PUTS THEIR GUNS DOWN BEFORE WALKING DOWN RANGE.

MAKE SURE ALL SHOOTERS ARE BEHIND THE LINE OF FIRE PRIOR TO RESUMING SHOOTING.

SOME PEOPLE CANNOT GET THEIR TARGETS SET UP WITHIN THE 5 MINUTE TIME FRAME AND THEY MAY STILL BE DOWN RANGE. SOME PEOPLE MAY JUST BE INCONSIDERATE AND DECIDE TO GO DOWN RANGE 4 MINUTES INTO THE CEASE FIRE AND WALK BACK. REGARDLESS, YOU MUST WAIT FOR ALL SHOOTERS TO MAKE IT BACK FROM DOWN RANGE BEFORE FIRING AGAIN. WHETHER THEY ARE GENUINELY SLOW OR ARE INCONSIDERATE OF OTHERS, YOU MUST ALWAYS WAIT FOR EVERYONE TO COME BACK FROM DOWN RANGE BEFORE SHOOTING. SHOOTING WHILE ANYONE ELSE IS DOWN RANGE IS AN IMMEDIATE INFRACTION AND MAY FORFEIT YOUR MEMBERSHIP. DAY PASSERS WILL BE KICKED OUT FOR THE DAY AND MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE A STRIKE AGAINST THEIR MEMBERSHIP.

THE RANGE STAFF WILL USE THEIR DISCRETION IN ENFORCING THESE POLICIES. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE POLICIES COULD RESULT IN REVOCATION OF MEMBERSHIP, DAILY BANS UP TO LIFETIME BANS. REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE MONITORED AND RECORDED BY CCTV SYSTEM.

PROPER DOWNING/TABLING OF A GUN CONSISTS OF:

  • REMOVING ALL AMMO AND MAGAZINES
  • LOCK SLIDE TO REAR OR OPEN BREACH
  • PLACE DOWN WITH OPEN BREACH FACING UP

If a pistol is holstered, you may “admin load”, which is to eject the magazine without removing the pistol.  Do not unholster to chamber until the range is hot.

RANGE & FIREARM SAFETY BASICS

  1.   Always keep firearms pointed in a safe direction.
  2.   Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
  3.   Always keep firearms unloaded until ready to use.
  4.   Know your target and beyond.
  5.   Know how to operate the firearm.
  6.   Ensure firearm is safe to operate.
  7.   Ensure use of correct ammunition in the firearm.
  8.   Eye and ear protection are mandatory on any hot range.
  9.   Be aware that certain types of firearms and many shooting activities required additional safety precautions.
  10.   Prior to shooting, check in all directions to make sure that the entire bay is safe and clear.
  11.   When transporting a firearm from one place to another, do so safely.  All guns should be in a holster or case or should be pointed at the ground with the slide/breach open and all magazines out.
  12.   Never point the gun at anyone or anything that you are not willing to destroy.

If you see an unsafe condition, take it upon yourself to correct it immediately.

Safety will be of primary concern throughout all aspects and activities of this shooting range. It is each person’s responsibility to conduct him or herself in a safe manner at all times, and not endanger anyone else. This includes shooters, workers, and spectators; and covers gun handling, driving, equipment use, and maintenance, and any other dangerous activity. Safe operation of our shooting ranges requires strict adherence to the following rules and signs as posted at range.

The following are rules and not just suggestions. Violations of these rules may lead to your membership being revoked.

  1. Discipline-We will fully prosecute: Trespassers, deliberate acts of vandalism, destruction of range property (no tenorite or exploding targets), threats, or any other violation of Texas State Statutes.  Members themselves are range officers and therefore all are responsible for their own safety and the safe use of the facility by all members.  Members are directly responsible for the maintaining of a safe and respectful atmosphere.  Members not being safe or respectful to others should be reported to range management immediately with descriptions of the actions or attitudes, vehicle, persons, etc.
  2. Access-Ranges are for use by members and escorted guests ONLY, except in events open to the general public or private event.  Members are responsible for the actions and close control of family and guests.  ID of members must be shown on any visit to TEXAS TACTICAL OUTDOOR GUN RANGE.  Except during sanctioned events open to the Public, the entrance gate must be closed and locked after entry to or exit from the range (AT ALL TIMES).

  1. Loading-All guns are to be unloaded, completely clear of ammo at all times except when on the firing line ready to be fired. At all times, except when on the firing line ready to be fired, all firearms shall comply with one of the following:

(1) Action open with magazine empty. If the firearm is equipped with detachable magazine the action shall be open and the magazine shall be removed.

(2) Be holstered with magazine removed.

(3) Be unloaded and cased.

(4) Firearms with break-open type actions may have their actions closed if in a gun rack or cased.

Exemptions:

1) On duty authorized security personnel or on duty law enforcement officers.

2) Firearms safely stored that remain in a vehicle.

3) Shooting activities on the firing line under the direct control of a range officer.

  1. Direction-No cross shooting.  Your bench must be in line with your target. Shoot only proper targets set directly in front of berm. Bullets should not hit the target supports. Bullets must impact the BERM. Do not shoot glass or items set on ground.  If a member is alone on a berm, they may set up multiple shooting stations.
  2. Ricochets-Be aware of the fact that bullets striking the ground in front of a berm may ricochet over the top of the berm creating an unsafe condition for anyone behind a berm.  Always set your targets directly in front of the berms and ensure that your bullets impact the berm and not the ground.  As the ground hardens, we may have other ricochet issues.  Please report any issues to range staff immediately.
  3. Steel targets-Armor-piercing, high velocity, or 50 BMG ammunition is not permitted for use on the metal targets.  Also please verify the steel you are shooting is rated for the ammo you are using.  Some of the metal targets are for rim-fire and others are pistol only.
  4. Drugs/alcohol-Alcohol and Gunpowder don’t mix. No alcohol is permitted on the firing lines.  No one visibly impaired by alcohol or drugs will be allowed to shoot.  The range staff has access to professional breathalyzers and drug screens and may eject anyone from the range displaying questionable behavior.  Let’s help each other keep shooting sports safe by correcting any unsafe condition that may arise due to alcohol or drug use.
  5. Respect-Clean up after yourself. Pull your targets after use. Police your brass if you want to retain it.  Put all dud ammunitions in specially marked containers.  This range is run by members for members. It is the responsibility of all members to maintain a safe and friendly range. All members must be teachers, care takers, assistants, helpers, friends, and more, to all other members.

(Report anyone breaking these rules by calling or texting (817) 917-8411. You will remain anonymous and you will help maintain the kind of range we all want to shoot on.  safe, respectful, and fun.)
